24k is a long ways to go but it is possible! If it is going to happen, it’s b/c you spend time personally reaching out to fans, friends and family. If you don’t think those circles can/will do it on their own, ask them to help you find who might be interested and take your PERSONAL outreach there. General “promo” (promo that is non-specific and ambiguous in nature; does not target a specific person/group with a specific call to action) is not likely to yield much help outside of your circle of influence (people who know you and/or your work).

I have been umming and ahhing whether to do a crowdfunding campagin for so long because I am not so good at asking people for favors.

But after taking my precious guitars to a store to trade in and being offered only ten bucks for them.
I decided to offer it to my fans in a low key auction to go towards my new album.
Some really supportive fans gave me thousands of dollars for them and I was completely blown away!

I think I am finally ready to do this so I’m researching the crap out of this thing!

I’ll be focusing on crowdfunding in Japan mostly which is still a country not familiar with crowdfunding so here’s hoping for the best!
